Would you pay extra for Battlefiled 3 "elite"

Straight up, no. They aren't even supposed to charge us for map packs, as DICE promised they never would like 3 years ago.

I wouldn't pay for BF3 elite, but I will pay for DLC.
Compared to COD games (DLC costs 1200msp for only like 4 maps), BF3 DLC is much, much better, and you get more for your money. New maps, new vehicles, lots of new guns... amazing.

Yeah I'm with you on that; I don't like buying DLC but I do, and probably will end up getting this Close Quarters just for the guns.

Yeah the guns look pretty sweet.

They might not charge for the first one, but maybe for the last two.

Judging from all the content in the upcoming DLC (and the amount of things they're fixing in this upcoming patch) I think they'll probably charge for the DLC. But at the same time, if the DLC was free, more people would come back to playing BF3 instead of games like MW3, Mass Effect, etc.

concur should be some sick guns, could deal without their try at make levels for the cod'er its going to to be noob tubes and shotguns to the dick the entire time...news will be worth it though

I was originally a COD guy, so I'm definitely loving that they're bringing out close quarters maps!

I can see how it probably wouldn't interest the more hardcore BF fans though.

I was originally a COD person myself, but they pissed me off when they released a shitty MW3. So I just stuck playing BF3. Wish I got into the BF series a while ago.

And I hate having to pay for DLC but most likely will. At least I know I'll get my 15$ worth out of it.

Yeah the last few COD games have been bad. It boggles my mind how COD games are pretty much the only big name shooter that DOESN'T run on dedicated servers, even though they probably make the most money out of all the big name titles. I still play MW3 sometimes though because a lot of the guys that I've been playing with since Halo 2 play the COD series, so I hop on to game with them.

As far as Battlefield goes, I played BF2: Modern Combat on the original Xbox for 1-2 years and loved it. I wasn't really a big fan of the Bad Company games though (probably because I didn't have anybody to play them with) so I didn't play them too much.

And yeah it kind of sucks to pay for DLC. But with the Battlefield DLC, you definitely get your money's worth, at least compared to most other shooters.

I'd pay for elite if it ment i was going to save a decent amount on DLC
